Workshop Introduction
Yoga can benefit you physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually if practiced mindfully and intentionally. However, that might not be the case in more physically active and flow style classes. Why so? Because practitioners are “pressured” to push their body beyond their personal limits to stay in pace with their instructors. And when they do so, movement becomes less mindful and there is a heightened risk of injury; hence, it is no surprise that the number of yoga injuries has increased by almost 80% in the past 7 years (Yoga For Better Health, 2018).

Any pose where you’re not being mindful or pushing beyond your limit can create harm. So, as you practice, you want to avoid anything that:
– causes or elevate pain and numbness
– creates sharp sensations inside your joints or shooting down limbs
– makes you feel uncomfortable to the point where you can’t breathe well

In this 2 hour workshop, you will practice regular postures and be guided on how to practice them safely and correctly.

Who is this workshop for?
All levels of practitioners (even experienced practitioners would make these overlooked mistakes).
