INFRARED HEAT YOGA

Infrared Heat Yoga & Pilates

Sometimes, just thinking of hot yoga/pilates, the scene of a room that’s boiling hot, with air that’s hard to breathe, becomes vividly real. Even for seasoned practitioners, this can be a cause for second thoughts before they sign up. For newcomers or those who’ve never tried hot yoga/pilates, this can raise quite a lot of questions and some doubts.

This is where Jal Yoga comes in. We are one of the first studios in Singapore that has incorporated infrared technology that allows for comfortable practice with regards to hot yoga and pilates.

Infrared Heat Yoga

& Pilates

Sometimes, just thinking of hot yoga/pilates, the scene of a room that’s boiling hot, with air that’s hard to breathe, becomes vividly real. For newcomers or those who’ve never tried, this can raise quite a lot of questions and doubts.

This is where Jal Yoga comes in. We are one of the first studios in Singapore that has incorporated infrared technology that allows for comfortable practice with regards to hot yoga and pilates.

What is Infrared Technology about?

To understand this, we need to know what infrared heat is – simply put, it is radiated heat that feels like the rays of the sun on your skin, wrapping you comfortably in its warmth. Humankind is adapted to accept this fully with no side effects; we also radiate some ourselves.

This technology is widely used, from beauty salons to medical institutions, in situations cosmetic to health. Portable devices are also used by people facing body pain in specific areas for its pain-relieving effects. This radiated heat only affects the surface area it’s directed to, leaving the air in-between at its original temperature.

Here at Jal, we use cutting-edge Infrared-Technology heat panels from the US and Canada. These panels, hung directly above you, radiate therapeutic heat directly on to your body, without heating up the room.

How does this differ from normal Hot Yoga/Pilates?

The most important difference is that the area remains at room temperature. Rather than a steamy 40°C, you’ll notice the difference the moment you step off your mat. Even just moving your hand out from under the infrared panels, you’ll feel it. There’s also a distinct lack of stuffiness and the fans can even be switched on.

Key Benefits of Infrared Heat Yoga & Pilates

Many would wonder, then, how this would affect the results of each class. Will I still perspire? Is it still able to improve my skin?

The good news is that it does! You’ll enjoy the results above and more, without having to worry about a stuffy room, battling dehydration or a runny nose. That is the major benefit of practicing using infrared technology.

*Do note that the benefits may differ from practitioner to practitioner. Do consult your doctor if you have any medical conditions prior to executing these exercises.
