Basava’s journey into Yoga began with profound loss—his grandmother’s death from bronchial asthma. That grief became his calling, showing him how Yoga could heal what modern medicine couldn’t. He wished he’d discovered it sooner.
From Gadag, Karnataka, Basava trained in the traditional Gurukul system under Yogacharya Baseveshwara Swamiji, earning his Master’s in Yoga Therapy. 9 years of teaching, including 6 in Singapore, have shaped his approach: bridging ancient wisdom with scientific understanding to create genuine healing.
On Leading This Retreat: “Let me bring you to Mysore, where practice and tradition are woven into daily life. For 6 days, I’ll share my Karnataka homeland with you—the birthplace of Ashtanga, where tradition fills every street.”
