Course objectives

  • Develop a deep understanding of the fundamentals of Yoga Therapy, Anatomy & Physiology 
  • Gain knowledge on Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (IAYT), Evidence Based Yoga Therapy (EBYT) and other advanced techniques in Yoga Therapy
  • Learn how to diagnose common illnesses/conditions and use the above techniques to manage or prevent them
  • Build confidence and abilities to conduct impactful and safe one-to-one or group Yoga Therapy sessions

Section 1 – Introduction of Yoga, Panchakosha and the 5 Layers of our Body

      • Introduction to Yoga and Yoga Philosophy
      • Yogic Concept of Body

Section 2 – Introduction of Yoga Therapy, Anatomy and Physiology

      • Yoga Therapy and Its Principles
      • The Human Body (Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Digestive, Excretory, Reproductive, Endocrine, Immune systems)

Section 3 – Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (IAYT Module) and Evidence Based Yoga Therapy (EBYT)

      • Annamaya Kosha (Loosening exercises, Yogasanas, Kriyas, Diet)
      • Pranayama Kosha (Breathing practices)
      • Manomaya Kosha (Meditation and devotional sessions, Bhajans)
      • Vijnamaya Kosha (Notional correction, counselling, lectures)
      • Anandamaya Kosha (Karma Yoga, work in relaxation)

Section 4 – Advanced Techniques

      • Happiness Analysis

Growing up on the ghats of the spiritual city of Varanasi, India, his interest in Yoga sparked during high school days, when he spent a week at an ashram as a volunteer. Already enjoying the study of Sanskrit mantras and Vedic culture, he knew he wanted to pursue higher studies in this field and make a difference to others’ lives through his learning and experience.

After completing his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Yoga Therapy from S-VYASA Yoga University in India, he immersed himself into the world of teaching Yoga and meditation. He has earned an excellent reputation in a short period of time as a supportive and friendly spirit with an ability to permeate his classes with positivity and passion.

  • 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Certificate

Are there any prerequisites?

Attended at least 5 Yoga classes.

Can I teach after this course?

To bridge the gap between freshly graduating from our TTC to teaching in-studio classes, we’re offering the opportunity for you to accumulate teaching experience via our 20hr Internship Programme. Upon completion, you may have the chance to join Jal as Part-Time or Full-Time instructor.

What if I’ve missed a class?

From this year onwards, experience a more flexible academy structure and learn at your own pace.

In the event you miss any of the weekends, you can find the next available slot and do a make up session without any extra charge.

Hence, completing the necessary hours to finish your course.
